I hope this letter finds you in great spirits! I wanted to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for being a financial supporter of our church.

By God’s grace, we saw Him work through our church in many different ways this past year:

  • Most significantly, in early 2024, we officially became an accredited church with the Christian and Missionary Alliance. We had been one church with Citylight Manayunk since our launch, but the goal was always to become self-sustaining. God made that dream and prayer a reality in January 2024.
  • We added welcomed new families and attenders to our church family. New families made the decision to join our church and in early 2025 are working towards formally committing themselves to the work and the people of Citylight Delco.
  • One of our focuses for 2024 was looking at God’s design for men and women. We place a high value on healthy families in our midst. Through an intensive, twelve week discipleship program, we have seen spiritual fruit in many of the men in our church. Likewise, two book clubs have encouraged our women in God’s good design for them. God has renewed and saved marriages, given men a new vision for leading their families, shown women the beauty of caring for their children and being a helper to their husbands, and brought us a lot of children. It is very normal to hear the beautiful sound of babies and children throughout our building on a Sunday morning.

All of these things are only possible because our physical needs continue to be provided for by people like you. Thank you for sharing your efforts and resources!

In the upcoming year, we hope to continue to grow in both size and maturity. Would you join us in praying? Our specific prayers are:

  • For our attendance to grow to 100 people in 2025
  • That God would send us new converts and use us to make new disciples
  • To baptize five individuals
  • For gospel fruit to be borne from our first church plant, launching in York County this summer

One verse I have been praying for our church this year is Proverbs 1:1-7:

To know wisdom and instruction,

    to understand words of insight,

to receive instruction in wise dealing,

    in righteousness, justice, and equity;

 to give prudence to the simple,

    knowledge and discretion to the youth—

Let the wise hear and increase in learning,

    and the one who understands obtain guidance,

to understand a proverb and a saying,

    the words of the wise and their riddles.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;

    fools despise wisdom and instruction.

As we continue our study in the book of Proverbs in 2025, my prayer is that our people would grow in biblical wisdom and knowledge. Thank you for partnering with us in this! I pray that the Lord will continue to use your partnership for His glory.

Grace and peace,
Pastor Andy
